Unless the Trek Store gets a new rear shock by Friday, I am probably not racing at Swanson this weekend. Now normally that would really bum me out. I often get upset when mechanical problems or inclument weather ruin a good ride. However, a recent picture reminded me what a real bike problem is.

The shock's not salvageable, eh? You are more than welcome to borrow mine if you want. (stop laughing, I'm being serious)
I'm rooting for the Trek store to come through for you. I need a rabbit to chase on Saturday. If anybody stops into the Trek store in the next couple of days, ask them how j-hood's bike is coming. Maybe they could take a shock off of another bike they have in stock.
Are there any goatheads that are not racing that would want to come take pictures on Saturday?
